Misc Armor: Ring of the Ancients

Many people asking about the Thex Dagger Quest. Sorry to say that it does not look hopeful. Now there may be a new twist to it, but as of yet, nobody has found that twist. It looks as if the quest has been removed from the game.

Another new quest?:"Mystic Cloak is obtained by doing a quest that starts in Najena. Find and talk to a high elf enchanter named Lindara Parlone. You will begin the quest with her. It is to my understanding that the quest will lead you to several other continents. A friend gave me this to send in so I don't know all the details sorry !!"

I have heard the High Elf Enchanter is near Rathyl and the injured Halfling. If you have anymore info on this quest or a better stat pic (edit:got the pic and quest info 10/20/99), please send it in! Thank you CMB for sending in the news and pic!

This might be a new quest, but i'm not sure. A guy in Felwithe, forget the name, is worried of his missing daughter. He tells the daughter's name and says she went out hunting and hasn't come back yet. This guy stands at the river on the right side if you walk directly out of the cleric guild. Please give more info!!!

I spoke with him yesterday ang got that his daughters name is Lenara and that she is run off to somewhere "with lava", but i couldn't get him to elaborate. I'm very intersted in this too, nad i think it may be the quest for thr Mystic Cloak.

Talk to Tolkar Parlone in felwithe, apparently his Duaghter Lenara went on a quest
several months ago and has not returned, he is getting worried about her.
There are several un bracketed key words you can ask him about. try where/why/when questions...
from what I can gather she went to the lava area new nerriak, the dark elf city.
I suspect she's maybe a slave or prisoner in nerriak? I will look into this quest more tonight and post findings as they come about

There is also a Highelf in the Enchanter guild in Erudin who has the last name of Parlone...

The one in Erudin is his wife. Not the lost daughter(have you checked, undead lavastorm area or temple of sulsek area), don't ask me any more questions about the quest.

Does anyone know the purpose of the Highelf Enchanter in Erudin? She asks if you have a message from her husband in felwithe, but he will only talk about his daughter who is Lost. Anyone with any info, please post it here!

The daughter is a prisoner in Najena. The reward fer freein' 'er (bit involved, but I believe the info is elsewhere in these forums) is a cloak, which ye need ta take ta Parlone ta get enchanted.
Everlore entry for a priest of najena:

While named Priest of Najena it is actually found in Unrest. It was implemented as part of the Mystic Cloak quest (best cloak for caster in game). The Priest hits for 60s melee and is hard to take down because it greater heals itself big time. Looks just like a regular ghoul (would have screenshot but it is a 6-9 hour camp and Ive killed it once although ive heard others kill it) It spawns in a little 3rd floor room no bigger than a closet past the bedroom. It (or it's placeholder) are the only spawns in room. Most of the time you will get a regular ghoul

Is anything they give (key, sealed letter, worn cloak) no-rent? The hardest part about the new quests in the temple are the no-rent shadowmen items and I was just wondering if this is a problem here.

Nothing in this quest is No Rent
EVERYTHING is No Drop.

So once you start the quest, you have to finish it.

This is a new quest brought in and has NOTHING to do with Solusek Ro Quests (That Scale cloak in there has nothing on this one). So don't worry about spending time to finish.

I love this cloak and that Steelskin instantly casts so that if you are about to die, spend it!

Has any DE Necros finished thist quest yet? I would like to know.
This map of Najena notes the injured halfling in the prison cells, but not Linara. It appears the map was published on June 17, 1999 based on this news post.

Proposed Changes
- Flag Tolkar/Trilani/Linara Parlone and a priest of najena for Oct1999
