Broon in East Karana
Broon in East Karana is currently spawning in the river (approx. 1130, 885). This is incorrect. He should spawn near the ramp to Highpass and path to the river where he stays unless/until killed.

Broon hunting 101
Get a partner: tanks are good, druids are good, rangers too, never had a
caster to try it with but prolly ok but risky for caster.
Find Broon in river and pull him out (trust me). Kill him: chain or snare,
fear and bellow and melee, chords if you have a clear spot to fight. Loot
fast! Make sure you are well away from his spawn spot because Droon respawns
in river real fast and can jump u b4 u are healed up.
Let Droon go unattacked and he will vanish in a minute or two. Mean while
run to the Highhold ramp and camp at the mouth of the lower canyon. Prolly
polite to warn zone to stay clear of the lower canyon.
Every 8 minutes Broon will respawn in the lower canyon and come lumbering
out. Chain/snare, Fear, DoT, Melee, Kill, rinse, repeat.
Loot is crap - small coins and occasional rusty. Well your weps would be
rusty too if you stood in the river most of the time.
One time I did loot a Top Knot Cap (ac 3 non-visible when worn) from a clops
but for the life of me I cant remember which clops - I do think it was in EK
zone and near HH ramp.

Strategy
Start with Darkness followed by pet, then Heat blood, Fear and SOP. Broon hits pretty hard, 48hp to me at 26, so try and stay just inside casting range and always be ready to Fear again if you it wears off and you are too close. Siphon as needed.
When you kill Broon, loot fast and run like hell because big brother, Droon, or Dad, Proon will kill you fast.
Now for the hardest part, run across the zone to the Highhold ramp. That is where Broon spawns, in the canyon next to the path. Spawn time is 6 minutes so that don't leave much time for meding, use mana wisely. As you enter the canyon there are 2 trees, med by the first, Broon spawns by second farther in and walks out and heads back to the water. As soon as you see him spawn cast Intensify. By the time you are though casting he is within range for darkness and pet. Best part is there are NO "I see you meding, think I will pester you" creatures around.
Happy hunting!

Broon the Cyclops

Broon the Cyclops is a low 20s Cyclops that is great exp for high teen groups.
He is usually playing in the water to the left of the wood bridge from NK. Get him to aggro you, then pull him to your group, who should be waiting in ambush at the base of the ramp to HH.
Make sure to announce that you are pulling him to the ramp, in ooc or shout, there are 3 reasons for doing this
#1 Killing Broon spawns Choon and Proon, two way higher level Clops, they dont wander much, but some people like to know they are out.
#2 If you are a 50 Wiz wandering a zone, and you see an 18 Bard runing from a Cyclops, you generally do the nice thing and Nuke the Clops. This would be counterproductive to your desire to attain those precious orange bubbles. If they know what you are doing, maybe, just maby, they wont steal the kill from you.
#3 Some people really get suprized when a Cyclops thunders through their camp and slays them. Some people get upset even ;o) You are pullign this guy CLEAR across the zone, pretty close to one of the higher traveld highways in the game. Give people in the way a heads up, youll make more friends then enemies that way.
Anyway, once you pulled and killed him, pull your group left of the ramp and wait. Broon spawns every 6 minutes or so right down the canyon from you. He will walk right to you.
The timing is just right for the casters to med, and maybe for the tanks to pull a crag or griffawn to while away that spawn time.
If a party is blanced and smart, high teens/low twenties can rack up huge amounts of EXP here in a steady stream.
Be warned, Broon hits HARD, and his loot really sucks.
But it is cool as hell killing a Cyclops before you have a Surname ;o)

Broon/Droon/Proon - Info
By: Anonymous
Posted @ Mon, Jan 15th 7:34 PM [2001]
Broon: Level 23 cyclops, who spawns by the 2nd pine tree in the valley at the base of the ramp. Left alone he will walk to river near the druid ring and fish. Spawns every six minutes.
When you kill Broon EITHER Droon OR Proon will spawn on top of the mountain above the druid ring. They then run down to Broon's fishing spot. If it's Proon, he will run up the shore eastwards a bit, before returning to the river.
If you do not attack Droon or Proon, they run back up the mountain after about 5 minutes and despawn.
Droon, the big brother is level 34.
Proon, the father, is level 42. Hits hard. As others have mentioned, his death message is rather amusing.

ShowEQ has him at the following location:

Code:
Name Level HP Race Class Position
Broon 23 1095 Giant/Cyclops Warrior (-114,-3666)
This matches the description above (by a tree near the ramp to Highpass).
