I'm always skeptical though. If the guild running it stacks DPS groups, they get access to the corpse and control the messaging on what loot is communicated.

Again, I'm not in any way a representative and can't promise anything, but I believe the intent is clear: this is meant to be a server-wide event led by Kingdom, not a Kingdom event, and as such the loot (if any) is meant to be distributed in a way that's at least a somewhat fair for everyone.

Whether you trust the Kingdom leadership or not is up to you; if you don't, I don't think anything they can say will change that.

I should note also that the staff are likely to attend this event, so any loot stealers would have to be very ballsy.

If you folks happen to win, have your screenshot keys ready to go: This NPC is probably un-itemized, since it wasn't meant to be killed, and "empty" corpses go poof in thirty seconds.
