Haven't done one in a while, "back in the day" it was standard to pay once the transaction was complete. Discussed such a deal today twice and both sellers expected payment up front.
So curious what the current expectation is on such deals? | ||

Pay on completion. Seller assumes ALL risk as seller is in complete control of the transaction. Doesn't matter how bad you want it, don't give in otherwise.

Yeah I would always pay on completion. Obviously, staff will reimburse you if they scam you. But if they mess up the MQ turn in (or the NPC was otherwise part of the way through the quest turn in queue because someone before it had messed up the MQ) the staff will not reimburse...so best to get payment after (if they are worried about that arrangement, just remind them that if you screw them over the staff will ban you really quickly and reimburse them).
