EVERYQUEST UPDATE! WEST CABILIS DONE!
Apprentice Skullcap - 1st Rank (#1) Apprentice Skullcap - 2nd Rank (#2) Apprentice Skullcap - 3rd Rank (#3) Bone Granite Powder Quest Dark Binder Skullcap (#4) Keeper Rott's Pages Necro Spells Necromancer Penance Newbie Quest: Iksar Necromancer Occultist Skullcap (#5) Renew Bones Quest Revenant Skullcap (#6) Sorcerer Skullcap (#7) The obvious highlight here is the Necromancer Skullcap line. The beginning few quests are about gathering brains for some sort of sick necromantic experiments. You have to prepare a sarnak brain for quest 3 by preserving it with a homemade canopic jar. Kind of fun. The rest of the quests get more boring. Quest 4 is a fetch quest for random shit for some "experiment." Quest 5, your guildmaster makes a bet with another guildmaster that you are going to die if he sends you on a quest, and then has you go sneak into the OT outpost to do a fetch quest for a skeleton there. Quest 6 you need to find two pieces of a candlestick for some reason. Quest 7 is somewhat interesting. You need to help make a scepter worthy of the emperor. To do this, you must collect a jewel of the goblins, a jewel that belonged to the last emperor of the Iskar empire, a magic scrying gem, and just some emerald from EJ. In the basement of Dalnir, you must forge this scepter, and then you return it for your final cap (on this server).

Sorry, my computer crashed when adding the edit.
Kithicor Forest is maybe one of the least visited zones in Norrath, but also extremely quest dense. The Ranger "Temple of Solusek Ro" questline is here, a line in low level "skin" armor is here, the obvious Rogue Epic turn ins, and a series of small but fun quests. A fun one I want to highlight is Grim's Tiger Revenge quest. The idea behind it is fairly straightforward. Tigers killed this Monk's family, the Rangers are protecting their lil cuddly animals, and he will reward you if you kill them with a fairly decent (for classic) Monk neck item. What makes this quest interesting to me is that these are the only wild tigers in classic eq. You can find tigers on Kerra Isle, but those are tamed. Aside from that, the only other tiger is in the Ak'Anon zoo. Another fun fact is a little easter egg hidden in the Tigers names: Reggit, Eenot, and Kobb. Reggit is Tigger backwards. Eenot is Tony the Tiger of Frosted Flakes fame. And Kobb is a reference to inner circle Detroit Tigers hall of famer Ty Cobb. But I think the highlight of the zone is the quests of Morin Shadowbane. He tells you he will reward you with his Kukri, the Short Sword of Morin, if you either get him a better sword (the Ebony Bladed Sword in LGuK), or if you help the Rangers uncover some sort of evil plot at the hands of the Undead and the Shadowmen. This quest predates the Haunting of Kithicor event, so this is kind of an in game lore exploration of the event to come. First, you are to intercept a Ghoul Messenger, who they believe is spying on the Rangers. Slay this vile courier, and lo and behold, he drops a "Strategic Map of Kithicor." So the Undead ARE up to something. So you are sent to Lesser Faydark to meet with the Wood Elf rangers, who inform you that there are some evil machinations afoot in the Shadowed Men camp. So you are sent on an assassination mission to kill the leader of the Shadowed Men for their codebook and the skeletal boss of the Ghouls for his Journal. With these returned to the Wood Elves, they uncover an element of the evil plans of Lans T`Vyl. For your heroics, you are rewarded with THE ORC IMPALER. While this may not seem like much today, this was the BIS range item for Rangers when not using a bow back in classic. And while your information did not fully stop the undead armies from claiming the night of Kithicor, Lesser Faydark remains mostly unscourged. And who knows, perhaps the stalemate of Kithicor would have been a rout if not for your Rangerly tenacity. Note: I am not 100% sure I have finished Kithicor. There is one more mob in the Dark Elf camp that I did not hand a Rogue Epic box to. I am 95% sure he cannot take it, but I will test it.

EVERYQUEST UPDATE!!!!
South Felwithe Done! Bat Wings Black Wolf Skin Quest Guild Summons - The Amethyst Palace Guild Summons - The Jade Palace Guild Summons - The Ruby Palace There is not much to say about Southern Felwithe. It is a very plain zone with very little in the way of quests. Just two noob fetch quests and three starter quests. The only interesting thing of note is that my Everyzone challenge was done via quest here. I handed in bat wings to finish half of level 2.

EVERYQUEST UPDATE! Paineel Done!
Azraxs' Legacy Azzar's Dreadful Hat Quest Azzar's Dreadful Hat, Part 2 Bat Fur and Beetle Legs Bat Wings and Snake Fangs Become PvP (Paineel) Cat Courier Cazic Thule Disciple Symbol Cazic Thule Initiate Symbol Cold Iron Experienced Courier Guild Summons - Tabernacle of Terror Guild Summons - The Abbatoir Guild Summons - The Fell Blade Herb Shop Kobold Molars (Evil) Neonate Cowardice The Dusty Tome Optional Sidequest The Fisherman The Lost Pet The Summoning of Dread The Summoning of Fright The Summoning of Terror The Waylaid Courier Titan Samples (evil) Tunic of Ridossan Quest ---------- Paineel is one of the most fleshed out quest zones in the game and as a result, one of my favorite cities in the game. The quests are a lovely range of snobby pettiness to diabolicaly genocidal. Normally I highlight a single quest, but there are too many fun ones to do that. The first quests I want to talk about are the Demigod Summoning Quests. They aren't particularly interesting fetch quests except for their endings. After you complete the fetch quests, the guildmasters summon the Three Demigods of Fear: Fright, Dread, and Terror, into Paineel. These friendlier versions of the Demigods turn the respective quest item into a pretty solid human/erudite item. Ramping up the evil is "Experienced Courier." Davorre Bloodthorn asks you to deliver a letter to a woman in Toxxulia. Turns out, this is his ex-fiance. Davorre , the former captain of the guard of Erudin, went missing and was presumed dead. What actually had happened was he had been stripped of his rank (for unspecified reasons), and decided to defect to Paineel. I do not know the contents of the note, but his ex-fiance gives you their wedding ring, and sadly informs you that she has been wed in the years since Davorres presumed death. She is relieved that her ex-lover is alive, at least for now. Davorre then has you concoct a devious plan. You slaughter her husband and collect his head. Then, Davorre puts it in a chest for you to present to his ex-fiance. You then are to ensure that her last moments are filled with horror and disgust, and you must collect her head. When you return to Davorre, he hands you his old Erudin Halberd, as it is the only thing connecting him to his past life. The final and most evil quest I want to talk about is the Tunic of Ridossan. After investigating the Kobold presence in the Warrens, Royal Guard Sheltuin asks you to help him deal with the Kobolds via biological warfare. You are to collect Goblin Shit (Vile Substance), Ogre Shit (Green River Sludge), and some sort of experimental magic potion that a Freeport Necromancer will make you from some shit you steal from Najena mages. Finally, you take these items to a necromancer in Qeynos, who makes the HARBINGER OF BERTOXXULOUS. You take this bioweapon, and actually turn it in to the "river source" in the Warrens. You return to the Royal Guard with your empty jar for your Tunic of the great Shadowknight Ridossan. Sheltuin then explains that this substance will genocide the Kobolds in 8 or so years. Literally poisoning the well.
