Default /pet who leader should only work on YOUR pet

The "/pet who leader" command only worked on your own pet, not other people's.

Post from 2002 showing it still did not work this way even in Luclin:

I've seen pets wandering around before. Sometimes I'll shout asking who it
belongs to. Would be nice if /pet who leader worked for people other than
the owner of the pet....

I'd recommend more evidence since this is regarding an enchanter animation. Classically, enc animations wouldn't even respond to /pet report health, and possibly even /pet go away. Wouldn't surprise me if /pet who leader didn't even work for the owner of an animation.

Another source from the Necro boards:

"/pet who leader" = will make the pet tell you who the leader is. Seems to somewhat broken, since it only works on your own pet and hitting F1 twice will show you your pet faster byt the blinking name over it.

Yep. But hey at least for the next Green it'll be more classic and this 1 use case for mage armies to distinguish their own fire pets on raids.

If this is being implemented Nilbog, then so should pet command range. Pets should only accept commands given to them by an owner who is in /say range. They should ignore all other commands.

Furthermore, pets dont response to your commands when they are beyond a
certain range (not that big, in my experience), so it's futile to try and
tell them to back off.

Whenever I'm playing my mage with an elemental, and I don't see him anywhere
near me, I tell the group to run, run fast, don't look back, and head for
the zone, because I have no idea what the pet is killing, and if I'll be the
next target when he dies.

April 99 is really early on. I don't recall pets not listening to commands when they're out of range. I'd make mine back off or get lost as it chased mobs out of sight, deep into into Guk.

As much as this may be classic. This implementation takes away players ability to catch bad actors using pets in nefarious ways, by a large margin. With pet walking, across zones, and /assist range being limited to find out who the train is heading in on. /pet who is one of the few tools players have to record who is the person taking ownership of pet actions.

As also mentioned above here. Pets should only respond to master's within say range. Which if also implemented, would alleviate 95% of the nefarious actions people will try to get away with otherwise, since they will be forced to be next to said pet.

This and that need to be implemented at the same time, or not at all.

Not worth the headache and frustrations for both CSR and players alike, imo.
