You can change the ability by right clicking the button. Dont think you can clear it in game
If you are wanting to clear out a button back to unassigned edit your characters settings file (CharName_P1999.ini in the main EQ folder) and set the Ability#=-1. For example below has Ability1 and Ability2 buttons set and the rest are unassigned [Abilities] Ability1=40 Ability2=27 Ability3=-1 Ability4=-1 Ability5=-1 Ability6=-1
