What QoL changes would you like to see in a remaster?

better character art, perhaps inspired by the iconic box art from classic, kunark, and velious. absolutely no instancing or world shards or whatever the fuck modern theme park MMOs are doing. less fucky line of sight mechanics.

I worked for a company back in 2011. We were part of a pretty large company but was a subsidiary of it, so much of what we did flew under the radar when it came to special perks.

I remember one of the women telling me that they used to have a program where if you made a finalist round you would get like a $100 bonus and if you won the business you would get like $500. The VP would pay it right out of his own pocket too.

One of the new hires, some old woman grandma complained about it at some point to HR and they ended up axing that program.

It is pretty much what THJ did to the EMU community. We were flying under the radar until it came to light that THJ was profiting off their server kinda like D2JSP does with Forum gold.

So now we will probably not even get a new server or a merge now that DBG is looking closely at everything going on in the EMU community

But key ring should be in this game. Want to explore to craft cool stuff, you need keys! Great now you can't even hold the fucking mats anymore because 25 keys.

What does any of this have to do with QoL changes I would like to see in a remaster? THJ seemed to be exactly what I and 4500 other concurrent players were looking for. A population that the cumulative of p99 servers has never seen.

Keyring (LOL SKY, save bag space)
items stackable up to 100 , (again bag space)

Rechargeable item combine recipes + recharge merchant (Simply put have items that are APPROVED to be rechargeable for a set cost (Mana batteries) and a merchant other than sky, that sells a recharge box (that isn't consumed) and mana batteries. Items too powerful can remain non-rechargeable and remove the vendor recharge trick. Other rechargables that need to not be spammed can remain using the box of the void (that goes away after you combine)

And on top of that, if any new servers pop up they are limited to 800 players, or 400 players if they have custom content added.

Fuck those THJ grifters. Glad people enjoyed something that destroyed the freedom of EQEmu as a whole. Selfish pricks.

The NPC's that do quest turn ins spawn and despawn.

If we want to restore a bit of sauce, all the rechargeables should come back in game, but the vendor NPC's that handle recharging can be AI Game Designed™ in a strategic and non-OP'ing way.

Rechargeables are fun and why not return all of them, and then AI Game Design™ how recharges work?
