I personally would gear the same for small team content as you would for raiding. It’s cheaper on the DKP bids and better for the bag space. Technically stacking AC is likely more efficient than having an extra 500-1k hps but that hp buffer makes it much easier to land a solid CH. I expect it also helps reduce the chance of RNG spiking you dead.

The only time I took off my HGL’s was duoing Uulump with a Druid. Even then our issue with the subsequent failed fights seemed was the lack of haste (VoG failed and I was out of sham potions).

I agree that having a set of group gear and a set of raid gear would be tough to manage, especially when you typically have resistance gear and clickies in your bags already. I assume Koi Orb is fairly cheap though, so it may be a decent grouping alternative for 1 bag slot if you happen to be at a koi kill when it drops. I haven't looked at dkp price data in a while though. If it is going for a lot of DKP in your guild for whatever reason, don't bother.

I think that’s a fair approach if it’s a few item swap-out. The orb is very cheap and I think my pally has a fishbone earring so at least the orb has more upside than just EB.
