EQL sounds awesome until I get to that "but with a twist!" part. Not another god damn twist. What is the appeal of bringing back the original graphics and shit if you radically change the game mechanics? Just make a damn classic server and people will play it. I love p99 other than the ever-looming paranoia that it will just disappear, it would be nice if the actual IP holder would just do it. But noooo, another "twist". Bah humbug I say.

I would personally pay to play Project1999. I get more entertainment out of it than I do WoW a lot of the times. I would still take huge breaks that last months at a time, but I do that with every MMO I play. The reason I play on P99 over TLPs isn't because of financial reasons. It's because you can't get anything like P99 out of a Darkpaw server.

The fact the IP owning entity is willing to license the IP to contractors is a positive development for Norrath enjoyers. All Norrath enjoyers have a vested interest to see this project do well. With Rogean on board, I expect nothing less than a positive experience.

This is where the math gets messed up.

If one already has a sub to Live, it is quite the curious calculation they have made. They will gain/lose the same number of subs. Doing both subs is a fool's errand.

As to here, we can forget char transfers. We can forget anything that would entice one person to stay here as long as EQL is incoming and alive.
