As a returning player I have no platinum and I need to work on getting more so I also take myself to kill the guard in high keep for the sword and platinum. There are not a lot of monster I could ever find like this. But now low levels complain that I kill all guards because they need for their xping. But I say to you who is wrong I have no other to kill for the platinum and you can kill so many more for xp. Server rules say if I engage you can’t be enrage but I also hear all the squawking. Who is wrong? The returning player in trying to earn a little plat for invis potion and bandage or the leveling who want both worlds of plat and xp and say I have no right.

Tell the low levels they are not real.

Plat, faction, money. If you can get something from it, it's free game unless camped. Guards are often in outdoor zones so each guard is a 'camp.' Keep wrecking guards for plat. There isn't enough plat in the economy.

For me, if there's someone who wants to XP on the mobs I will always give them to them.
That being said, you don't have to. But if you are killing every single guard in the zone such that there's no ability to XP on any of them at all I would think the staff might tell you to knock it off as zone disruption.

Yeah if someone asks, I will give them the guards they can handle for XP.
If I was killing all of the guards on the misty thicket wall while no one was in zone, and someone wanted to camp the gate, I'd leave the gate guards up for that player.

I don't think Highkeep is considered an "outdoor" zone like the typical outdoor zones. The outdoor zone classification applies to zones with mostly roamers that are on 6m or 6m40s respawns. Highkeep guards are 18m respawns.
I think this is a fact that veteran players feign ignorance towards. If the zone simply being outdoors, meaning you are able to cast SoW and Harmony: Then Karnor's Castle, City of Mist, Unrest and Mistmoore are all outdoor zones. But we all agree that they are dungeons. You can't cherry pick where to apply this logic. If you extend the logic of the "outdoor" classification of the guards to the goblins, then by that logic: people can claim individual spawns down at the goblins, and there would be no camp distinctions. However, there are camp distinctions in the goblin area. There is the raider room, the warrior room, the main floor and the side room. Each spawn is not individual. They are based on line of sight. That being said: I don't think there are many spots where more than 1-2 guards are in Line of Sight of each other.

Also correct on the goblins. Generally the staff will split them up if there are disputes, but usually everyone on P99 is good about treating it as 1 camp as opposed to multiple camps like back in the day on live. IIRC a lot of Guides will generally split up the guards by floor if there is a dispute between 2 or 3 players.

Chances are there are better plat camps if you're beyond getting exp from the guards. Nothing wrong with killing them but there is likely a win/win outcome where you can farm more plat and they can farm more exp

Most likely, depending on class. The guards are what like, a few hundred pp an hour if you're killing every single one on a cycle, including the ones at the ZL and in the basement?
I feel like I did the math years ago and that's what it shook out to.
