My cousin is planning on doing Rim 2 Rim of the Grand Canyon in August which is ballsy, but with an overnight stay at phantom ranch. I told him South Kaibab is the one that kills everyone - steep switchbacks with no cover/shade and no way to get water

not into high risk climbing but i love long hikes
single day presidential traverse was my last big one started at 2am under headlamp, finished at 5:30 in the evening...not a fast time but i took a lot of breaks to just stop and sit and enjoy myself next up: single day pemi loop | ||
