Are there any iksar warrior armor guides out there? Seems a difficult character to gear.

Start out with banded mail. Ask around cabilis if anyone is able to craft it. I have an iksar toon that can, but they are kinda stuck somewhere for awhile. After that, look up the trooper scale quests

Iksars have shit stats all over pretty much so you'll waant sta/hp.
Crystal chitin armplates. Blood runed gauntlets/girdle depending on budget. Dragon tooth choker is pretty much my go to before 6 necks. If you have friends you could get HGLs and spend an evening in platehouse to get geared up on the cheap. Most of the champion armor is decent.

according to DSM iksar war should be BiS because of AC
@op - if you're going to be soloing for extended periods into your 40s and 50s you may want to consider gnome for self haste

An Iksar Warrior in full BiS gear would have a slight edge stat-wise, due to having innate regen and a bit more AC. AC Softcaps exist however, so an Iksar would really only be getting about 16 more AC compared to other races in full BiS gear. That doesn't mean innate regen and an extra 16 AC are necessarily better than FSI/Ogre Wall when it comes to raid tanking, for example.

I mean thats not a terrible take, iksar being bis because of the ac.
The only racial benefits thay make any difference for a raiding warrior are ogre, gnome and iksar. Iksar are the best ramp tanks without question, and a reasonable argument for bis overall. Ogres take the most damage, iksar take the least.

Thank you for the replies. I'm not a raider, nor have much plat. I'm guessing banded then trooper armor is the way to go for me.
Judging from replies it must be extremely foreign new players to the server don't have much to start with.

It would be good to know if you are planning to mostly solo or group. In a low platinum scenario, you want a haste item and a cheap weapon with a 0.5 ratio or better first. https://wiki.project1999.com/Silver_Chitin_Hand_Wraps is the best cheap haste item. https://wiki.project1999.com/Sarnak_Backstabber would be an example of a 0.5 ratio weapon that is cheap. I am giving a 1 handed weapon example, as you don't get your main hand damage bonus until 28, and damage caps exist. It doesn't sound like you are a high level. A lot of content (especially at lower levels) really isn't designed with the idea of every melee having a 20% haste item and a 0.5 ratio weapon. For reference, Bone Bladed Claymore is a low level Dungeon drop, and it has a ratio of 0.38. A fine steel two handed sword has a 0.28 ratio. Those weapons are more realistically expected for a lower level player. Killing the mobs faster when soloing is reducing the damage you take. In a group, a haste item allows you to generate more hate. After you get the haste item and weapon, get some +HP gear. https://wiki.project1999.com/Golden_Fire_Wedding_Ring may be a bit hard to find these days, but they are significantly cheaper than 6/65 rings, while still giving great HP. Fill the rest of your slots with merchant bought leather, or buy banded from a player, until you can get some more plat.
