Which client would provide this functionality out of interest? Would it be the EQ trilogy client?

AFAIK, yes. However, it was still possible to use the Velious interface a month or two after Luclin launch before they completely disabled it.

So, natively, trilogy client provides this functionality. It may be lurking on every client since then (including Titanium), but I am not certain.

I'm pretty sure it is. Sony is known to be lazy and not really removing things, just disabling it.

While on the topic of functionality recently added, I would love to see true classic spells back in (the ones that appear when you delete the new spell files, but then you don't see spell casting from your hands), as well as bringing back the original sky instead of this nasty new fog ridden thing.
