Here's something everyone can do in the meantime, I found this on Youtube the other day looking for something i cant remember anymore. It's a "documentary" about the making of Everquest and it interviews some pretty cool people involved in the original project. The guy doing the interviewing and making this video is kindof a douche, but everything else is cool.

Verant was just a subsidiary of SoE, and before that it was called 989 Systems or something like that i believe, but SoE was at the top the whole time.

alot of names in EQ are just things spelled backwards, or anagrams, especially the gods.

example:

tunare = nature
the rathe = the earth
xegony = oxygen
rodcet nife = docter [sic] fine

and a whole bunch more

EDIT:
Quick google search found this, a list of a whole bunch of easter eggs in EQ, I don't know if they have Jenniys Two-Tone Curiass though, which is my favorite easter egg of all i think heh:

While it's a bummer which we all share, we also appreciate all of your efforts Rogean! I was playing on the PEQ - The Grand Creation server and of course, it's down right now too. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Ugh.. I may have to re-activate my SOE Live account to get my fix. (but it's so depressing there).

Oh snap, the old "$10 dollar cheaper rails will give us another weekend before we have to actually do work" trick...

I can't believe you fell for that one!

150 bucks for a rail kit; it was probably one of those transformer-style rail kits that lets you mount your rack into any size rack.

Clearly our only option now is to all show up irl at the data center and DDOS their exit door until they get our server up.

Or I guess we could go outside or something this weekend. Poo.

Thanks for trying for us! Aint your fault.
