Yeahlight has been working on his project for years and doesn't even update people on how things are going. Seems like a complete front to just raise donations for Autism. The project goes nowhere.

I followed it for a bit then got sick and tired of nothing ever happening. Went to google looking for a redbox in the meantime, found this place, fuck EQClassic.

I would say a good 50% of p99's *original* player base was EQC refugees. Even if it does end up as simply vaporware, p99 owes a ton to Yeahlight and the EQC project. Their original project inspired many to hit up you tube for the EQ Classic vids, which led them to EMU + (sometimes even directly) p99.

You could argue their 'no one gets anything till it's classic and perfect' approach wasn't as user friendly as nilbog's 'lets let 'er rip and adjust it on the fly' style".

And lets face it, without nilbog and co. we'd be on p99/EQC forums talking about whether we were going cleric or shadowknight when it finally launches.. 2 years later. heh.

I consider EQClassic to be a joke. I found that project like four years ago and they appear to have made no progress since then.

If this yeahlight character can create a server without the "good ol'boy" system letting people they like get away with murder. Banning hackers. and not being a complete fucktard with decisions.....ya I'd play it.
