Let me elaborate. On Al'kabor there is a glitch/bug with the pacify line of spells. Basically, if you cast pacify twice in a row on mobs, they stay paccifed forever. So.. i've pacified the entire dungeon of howling stones and did nothing but run from one place holder to the next killing only the named and placeholders... for weeks at a time (would just AFK in the dungeon around the pacified mobs while not killing named).

Yeah its an awful bug, but we are the forgotten server so we get zero fixes (this might change real soon though thanks to Lion not working with the old EQ client), but that pacify bug has allowed me to thoroughly mega camp howling stones (and other dungeons) and see the drop rates over hundreds of named and placeholders.

I had over hmm hell if i know, 50 bloodpoints at one time, I lost count.. just destroyed them, trying for a steel hilted flint dagger.. same with the Truncheon, that NEVER dropped. Only saw one short sword of obeteration too in all that time.

Just saying.
gee a forgotten server with ridiculous bugs that are server specific has some items that are ultra rare drops
yeah i can see how you'd assume the drop rates from there are officially correct
