You do realize it takes a glutton for punishment to enjoy all the long treks all over the continents, XP grinding, camping for loot, sitting/medding, etc, right?
[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Try to sell her on the social aspect. Don't just run around PL'ing her... start a newb with her, and go find groups. Get her attached to the people, not the game itself. Then she'll be self-driven to keep up with her friends if she enjoys grouping up with them.
But if it's not for her, it's not for her. EQ is designed with lots of time-sinks and to some people it could be incredibly boring, and when it comes down to it, those people would need to get past the "why am I devoting all this time and effort into digital trinkets and 1's and 0's that won't matter?" (i.e. treat it as a fun distraction and not as a hardcore obsession.)
