The other half is doing it once and realizing that you are useless in a group and never doing it again. In fact, just go solo / swarm altogether. A grouping class that is forever solo due to stupid ass rules. There's a lot of bards on this server -- would definitely get more groups

That's 3 halves. And if you think your functionality in a group is limited to 2 aoe dots, you should try a simpler class.

Eh, I wasn't including his half. so 2 halfs = whole , sir.

not just ae dots, but also ae mez, ae slow, it continues on. It's so funny - for you, i have to literally explain the "etc etc" part of every post. I apologize - my posts are meant for scholars apparently; I will try and remember this and post everything bluntly with no references or room for critical thinking, or any thinking.

Use the ae mez properly then, and have your groupmates disease cloud themselves, or not position themselves in a really stupid way. Every time I grouped the ae mez wasn't a problem. And if a pet gets caught in the way, tell your groupmate to /pet back off. A little communication on your end can save the devs the work of making ae's work non-classically.

I always enjoyed nuking my groupmate to death so he didn't eat a xp death on VZ.

It's classic that most pet classes do NOT pay attention enough for it to be efficient. It's also tough when I'm indoors, such as unrest, where everyone is in close quarters. Not everyone has disease cloud ready to go. Rarely see shadowknights and necros generally don't group much either (again no encouragement to group)

Unfortunately, semi-afk people while grouping for long periods of time is very classic and makes this topic void (quite often, actually). In the ideal world, you are correct, though.

Lol what? Yea I can haste, but you have to realize it's pvp and I actually don't seem to run into many melee lately on this server. Hp regen? Yea always on. Mana regen? I'm <lvl 29 or whatever level it is. Resists? Rarely useful in pve. Snare? Rarely useful in the groups i've been in. If mobs run far without dying, your group blows anyways. There's also a million other utilities that are AE and useless in a group. I'd really like to utilize my slow especially, but AE..

The bard snare is a targeted Slow as well. Saying it's "rarely useful" is like saying... actually I don't have a good analogy, but it's just a silly thing to say.
