Servers fine. Only thing that truly hurt the population was releasing VP and epics on blue whenever the goal was to try and bring people from blue over to red.

Wow - So you know what i see - i see several potential devs here. If you are all THAT much of experts on EQ then i recommend you learn how to code or at least learn how to pseudocode and talk to nilbog and express an interest in reforming your negativity and doing something positive for the game we all love so much. Then if you think something is so damn broken then work with nilbog in a POSITIVE manner to try and get it changed.

Do you think coming at him with tons of public threads about how much his server sucks really is a way to make him listen to you at all???? If you think that's how to get people to listen to you then you need to go to charm school or something.

And you think the red server gets no attention from the CS Staff beyond a broadcast reminder not to train each other? Here's a hint buddy - if i'm broadcasting not to train it's because i have several reports of training going on in various zones and i can't be everywhere at once. I have spent countless hours on red helping players, trying to fix things and provide immediate guide assistance.

Sirken has spent a lot of time doing the same. We all have real lives. we can't be on there 24/7.

tldr -> If the server sucks so bad and you are the savior you believe yourself to be then quit polluting the boards with negativity and talk to nilbog about helping to develop the game and join the team! You can still play as a dev ... depending on what you do.

Hey. FYI - Nilbog spends HOURS every week coding things just for red. so don't hand me that shit that he doesn't give a shit about this project. It's a hobby, for which he isn't paid. Same with all the other devs.

This is a VERY unfair thing for you guys to say they dont' care. But i'll tell you what will cause him to quit giving two fucks and a shit about the red server.

At some point people will realize that the devs really don't care all that much. The blue server is their prized project-- R99 is the red headed step child, it's like a science project to them. They could care less, have you seen the pop on blue lately? 600+ at times, I'm sure they are much more focused on that servers success than this servers failure.

As far as the pop, there are a shitload of people that hit 50 or are relatively close that have taken a break from the game that at primetime would easily put the server back at 220+ which is still a healthy pop. Wait until planes gets released and go from there, no1 really gives a shit about Naggy and Vox

dont think anyone said the server sucked, stop being an emotional female, rather i see people (self included) saying they enjoy the server but that is dying because of a few easily changed things.

if i knew how to code id be happy to put in the time to improve the server, unfortunately for this situation my knowledge centers around the mechanical instead of the electronic.

would be happy to be a server guide to and hold tournaments, events and so on to improve the server. however i highly doubt anyone would ever bestow such a position on me =P

It would really help if the Admin posts on the board consisted of status reports and updates rather than just blindly raging at the people who post because they can't see anything that is being done.

You're right, let me rephrase -- What I was trying to say, is that given the fact they don't get paid for this and have limited time I would guess that they would be much more interested in the blue server that is blossoming right now with the release of epics and VP than the red server.

That was my point, if they didn't care they wouldn't have released the server to begin with. I just think they may be limited on time, either way I'm enjoying my time on the server and I've been thankful to the devs/guides that have put forth their free work towards that experience since day 1.. but my expectations to have them fix things such as the resist system, xp rate, etc is very low because of the time they have allocated to working on red

Fact is for the most part I think the server is being handled like it was blue, because they have no experience with a pvp server.. maybe the devs should have some type of 'board of advisors' people on this forum who have years in this game in PvP that can help them promote a healthy pvp server pop

Love the server, will always give props to those for doing it.

But having the pvp resist codes this screwed up since beta is a hard pill to swallow - after all thats the reason we play here.

Agree with most of the points.

It can't be understated how much the lack of GM communication has hurt the pvp server population. At least this is easily fixable.

That said, I still play this server very casually and have fun every other night when i log on for 1-2 hours. The dwindling population is getting somewhat negative and making me question whether or not the server has a long term lifespan. People have a hard time logging on and grinding when they are not sure if they are just wasting their time. Some GM reassurance that they are aware of the community concerns and just basic better communication in general would go a long way here.
