Iksar faction?

I'm pretty sure that Greenmist was Iksar only when it was first introduced then changed to all SK races later during Luclin.

Crusader Quarg is still scowling while others are at least indifferent (some warmly, some amiable). Warlord Zyzz cons amiable as well and he's also on Mystics faction (among others) I believe. I've also never done anything to get negative faction hits with Mystics.

What's wrong with Quarg? I don't think he's on BroodOfKotiz faction is he? Or agnostic erudite mages just can't get non-KOS regardless with this chap?

Well, final update I guess. Zoned into East Cab and went to the Shammy guild to con the Prime Hierophant Vek and he was scowling. So I guess it's not a problem with Quarg, just that the Mystics are really demanding and 355+ stacks (1,755+ turn ins) were still not sufficient to move from scowling to threatening for an agnostic erudite mage.

If I read an earlier post right, max gain/loss for hits is 2,000 - which probably means hitting dubious now is very unlikely, unless the step from threatening to dubious is < 245 hits (and I still need to move from scowling to threatening first).

Is my conclusion correct?

I dont know if the quest for explorer knives is on this server but I know that I have seen the explorers in the tower in Lake of Ill Omen. If you kill explorers to get non kos to the legion and then turn in all of the knives you can get a pretty significant faction boost with most iksar factions. You will still have to kill outlaws for brood of kotiz faction though.

If the max faction gain is 2,000 and I'm still at scowling with 1,755+ turn ins (I assume 1 turn in = 1 hit), then that leaves about 245 hits for me to gain 2 levels of faction (get to dubious from scowling). Knives might affect the rate of gaining faction hits, but it wouldn't affect the best case end point I could reach.

I'd really like to know if my reading of the 2,000 max gain is correct, and if so, whether it's possible for me to even get to dubious with 245 hits left (e.g. if the step from threatening to dubious requires 250 hits, then I know it's impossible for me to get there).

IIRC this quest isn't in until velious.

According to the wayback machine you seem to be correct about it starting out as iksar only.

And to answer your earlier questions, quarg is on scaledmystics, and they have a particular hate for mag/enc/wiz/bard.
