Hi,

Just found out about this server, unfortunately quite late but I used to play on Firiona Vie server and I loved the old EQ. I eventually quit after PoP came out but I always had lingering withdrawals for EQ.

I was walking around work the other day and there was this cold whistling wind that reminded me of a zone in EQ, completely forgot the name of it but it was where Lodi n SF spawned, sounded identical and so I googled EQ for some reminiscing and found this [You must be logged in to view images. Anyway I'm going to play on the non-PvP server, I like PvP (played EvE online and PvP servers in WoW) but I think I'll start non-PvP since it looks more populated.

If you see me in game I'm friendly, don't beg, so say hi.

Oh I'm I'm going to be a female darkelf necromancer or enchanter but I'm male in real life.

Welcome to the server! I wouldn't consider this very late - epics just came out, and there is still a ton to look forward to. Not to mention crushbone, mistmoore etc are still popular as you're leveling up. And by playing a necro, you'll have a pretty easy going as you re-acclimate yourself to classic eq.

I'm sure you know already, but just to be safe...

You can remap your controls by pressing alt-o and going to the keyboard. iirc, classic EQ bound movement keys to the arrows by default, and I mean really, who wants that?
