It's actually not a direct video card issue, but an issue with the eqdx9.dll and how it uses the video driver or some video drivers. There is several issues that is somewhat similar like yours. E.g when ever i switch from windowed to full screen, i have to use the change video resolution to lock it to fullscreen .. or game just minimizes and reverts to windows again at the first mouse click. Sames as switching between windowed and full screen have a high risk of producing a "reset device" error witch crashes game. the bug was present on live too but got fixed, so its an issue with the eqdx9.dll of the Titanium client.
Just have to live with it, as the devs normally don't mess with the client code, as its property of Sony.
