Oops, my bad then, I was trying to think better of TMO. I guess you're really just waving a little loot in front of the masses and going dance monkies dance!

Sick sadistic pleasure is a motive. A common one too.

It's a sad thing that they are so far ahead that no matter how terrible they are as a guild they will never have a shortage of players flocking to them.

Greed rules.

Recruitment Promotion. Most of TMO Probably hides in Sebilis or raid zones and doesn't interact with much of the world, all the world ever sees is the flame fest of the forums and in public chat channels. Shine a bit of publicity and positive light and give people a little taste of "the things they could get if they joined TMO."

Knight to C7.
Is this a form of handicap chess? Cause this isn't even close lol.

gonna drop some knowledge.

When you are #1 raiding guild with a monopoly on raid targets and raid loot, apps aren't hard to come by. Even former haters will app secretly to obtain pixels.

its not a recruitment promotion or PR.

1-we have more apps than we need already
2-PR is pointless, we could do 1000 nice things and the majority of the server will still view us how they choose to anyway, and in the end we dont need PR to continue being the best.
Dude is correct.

You can view this entire thread as a reference to #2

You fags cry so much over every single thing that it would be pointless to try a PR campaign.

Don't be too hard on the trolls, Stealin. Think of all those xps they lost while afking across DL on account of Gore being alive for a couple of days.

This isn't a PR move - a guild like TMO doesn't need to have a positive image on the server to receive applicants because the type of people willing to do what is necessary to be part of TMO don't really care about their image and really want to be a bitch for loot.

They clearly get off on looking like the good guys when everybody knows they're rotten. They're also probably bored with nobody bothering to compete with them and killing the same shit week after week. Again, I reiterate that it's a nice gesture that more casual players now have the option of killing a raid target each week.

At the risk of sounding R&F, I personally find rule lawyering with TMO about as exciting as it sounds like TMO enjoys killing raid content without guild competition.
