I agree with the exceptiong of metallikus.... he used to be a cool guy too, seems to have eaten the bad juju fruit though.
Yea, I think he's the last one on TMO's hate list. Maybe if you grief him off server, then TMO & VD can be friends lol

So basically you play this game to beat other people. A 13 year old game, where all the strategies are known and your primary advantage consists of your playtime. And when you do beat a guild your plan is twist the knife in them as much as possible.

Honestly I just find your approach to EQ mindboggling. Are you aware the EQ is not by nature a competitive, PVP game but a cooperative, PVE game? I think your entire guild would be a lot happier if you moved to Red where you can compete against other players directly and where all this competition stuff you spout would make far more sense.
Gonna enlighten you on this

I get several tells a day especially since we started offering dragons of people from BDA, Divinity, and Bregan wanting to know the strat used to pull tank and take down said dragons. So your comment here doesnt hold water. Yes its a 12 year old game but one that many people didnt have prior experience with raiding or have forgotten the strats used to kill these dragons.

I would retort with the fact that each guild/player has their own ways of playing EQ. If they want to make it competive thats how we like to play the game. Mindless killing of raid targets for us is easy. We can do that all day. The thrill of racing for a raid target and strat advantages makes the game for us. Not say it has to be that way all the time but thats how we like to play it.

I guess you never played sports and talked shit aye? Really thats not what we are about. Although we do talk some shit from time to time its all in fun and not meant to twist any knives. For the most part all of TMO even stealin and Tiggles are good sports and great players who like the reaction of the masses. Thats how they play the game and what makes it fun for them. What we dont like is a guild that rides coat tails into the raiding scene then demands that we share mobs. That will get you no where with TMO.

Lets face it. Each guild has their own agenda and own ways of making the game fun for themselves. We are not without that exception. We want other guilds to step up and learn the mobs so that one day you too can feel the pride in beating out another guild because you did it right the first time.

We can kill dragons all day uncontested but that gets boring. Doing it in the heat of a race or battle with another guild for FTE makes it much more interesting. Its a chess match for us.

WHATS YOUR NEXT MOVE?

Mobilizing to a target does take some skill, but to act like there's any significant "mobilization" on this server is just crazy. Mobilization happens when the server crashes and all the raid mobs repop. Mobilization does *not* happen when 50 people are staring at Venril Sathir's spawn point for 4 days straight.

This kind of faggotry is what ruined this server's legitimacy.

Your guild is a victim of its own success. You have assimilated or run off pretty much everyone who has the desire to bat-phone, poop-sock and park for mobs. You are now asking a mostly casual playing player base to step up and play the way you guys desire in the game of who can log in first and engage. I don't see the masses changing their play style for you guys. Those who have your play style will probably just submit an application to your guild because that's the easy way for them to accomplish their goals.

Look, there are basically two types of people on this server. About 90% of the server is here because we played EQ back in the day, but because we quit early/joined late/weren't in an uberguild/didn't play 24/7 we never got to experience a good bit of the content. For this group of people the main goal is to kill a few of the mobs we never got to do back in the day, pick up an item or two we never got before, and maybe play the classes that we envied back then. It's kind of like a do over at life, although that analogy scares me.

The other 10% is here to prevent the 90% from doing this. These are the people that were in the uberguilds back in the day, and have already done all the content, but since then they haven't had any challenges that meet their unique skillset of sitting in front of the computer for 24 hours per day. This group of people derives their self esteem from being better at Everquest than other people, and P1999 is a way to return to their glory days, like a 40 year old pitcher going back to high school. Most of these people are in TMO/IB and some were in VD but most have quit. When you make comments like "What we dont like is a guild that rides coat tails into the raiding scene then demands that we share mobs. That will get you no where with TMO." its clear that EQ for you is about status - there are the "hardcore" and the "others" and the others had better know their place.

What I am trying to explain to you is that Everquest is not a PVP game nor is it a hard game. Sure there are some strategies for raid mobs, like CH rotation, MR potions, bards playing resist songs and stacking resist gear, using the staff of runes to dispell effects or mallets for aggro, etc. But most of them are known. Let me put it to you this way: anyone with basic intelligence and the willingness to spend 50+ hours a week in Norrath can be a productive member of TMO with a week or two of training. Do you think those same people could join a competitive Quake league? Those guys don't just know strats, their hand to eye coordination and reflexes are off the charts. Or a Starcraft league where the APM is 100+? Same deal. Or chess, where the spatial memory requirements are huge?

I'm just trying to make you understand how silly the concept of competitive Everquest is. It's like competitive eating: it's just retarded and wasteful, and the only people who enjoy it are the ones who aren't good at anything else.
