Situations like this are very rough. While Steve should have asked in OOC, Ossigor did and apparently received information from three seperate people informing him that platinum was acceptable. This turn-in is tricky since on live you could use platinum and gold. Many things on server are not necessarily 100% classic so it wouldn't be beyond belief to think platinum would be acceptable as well on Project 1999. Adding into that fact that three seperate people in ooc either mis-informed maliciously or just ignorantly on their own part thinking platinum is acceptable.

I don't think it would be that horrible to re-imburse Steve and Ossigor their Rings of the Ancients for what appears to be merely innocent mistakes given the complete circumstances. That being said, I am a lowly player and obviously this is left to the developer/GM discretion.

So maybe its also "classic" for the NPCs to NOT hand back items if you screw up the turn in??

Its a player error not game error so not really reimburable. A GM could proove me wrong on this but I doubt it.

I hate to say it, but did you even speak to Hasten? He specifically asks for gold. This is not a bug.
