delete your account and stop posting forever, it would be a massive step towards purification here, probably the outright cure.
sorry I guess I ignored you, apologies.

How goes being a shit guild on EQmac again? I do love hearing that story.

EQ is what we the players make of it, and on p99 we've made an ugly clusterfuck of what should be a really special server. I really don't get what is so fun and fulfilling about this idea of "competition" on a 13 year old game. 24/7 raiding, racing, training, FTE rule lawyering... that's your idea of fun competition? There are plenty of games out there that offer real competition in the form of functional PVP. EQ is not one of them, and the idea that the tactics used here are somehow something to be proud of, or enjoyable for anyone involved, is baffling to me.

EQ at its best is about cooperation and community, not about stomping on each others throats and being complete douchebags to each other. I know this will sound like a crazy concept to some, but EQ really is more fun if you just relax, work with other guilds rather than against them, and log into a PVP or FPS game when you need to take out your aggression.
Well said. Thankfully the asshatery seems mostly self-contained to big ticket items/mobs. It's a shame for those who want to experience other parts of EQ, but so be it. Competition is all well and good, but at some point a sport stops being a sport when you have to continuously stop the game and review each play with both sides arguing and cheating and taking cheap shots. If I wanted that, I'd just watch reruns of Jerry Springer. Camaraderie is much better imo.

So when does Gore's window open? I remember her dying not too long ago but I forgot to write down the TOD.

The raid culture here is so incredibly messed up... it's really much worse than it ever was on live, and that's a damn shame.
+1. Been trying to say this for a while now, but without a lot of success.

don't a lot of those free guild websites have built in ToD trackers nowadays?

just plug in ToD and variance window and it pops up for members on website when the window opens.
