Server obvious failure. Population will never recover without massive xp bonus and yellow text. All you faggots that think otherwise are still stuck in denial.

Even Nickleback has a few fans. You can find 100 people to think anything is a success...

A month from now, when we have 200% xp bonus and YT, someone will post that the only way to recover population will be to re-skin all the orc models in hot pink. These solutions are just some mode of desperation that is beyond any type of reasoning.

Did PoF increase population? No. Did xp bonus? Not after a month. Did PoH, SolRo, or global ooc increase population? Nope. Population is less than it was a month ago.

EQ was a great game, and still is in a lot of ways. 13 years later, content in EQ is more interesting and difficult than content in a current MMO. The problem with a red server is that the life and feel of the game is entirely in the community, and it requires a lot of individual effort to foster a large and competitive community. You need a diverse array of guilds with some very dedicated people to keep them going, and that just won't happen with the average age of this player base.

The EQ community just naturally devolved. Select against the people with careers, families, or other priorities in favor of ~30 year olds who need RMT to keep the Mt. Dew flowing and this is what you get. R99 has been great for bringing back some memories, but when your "endgame" choice comes down to either investing time in someone else's RMT scam or joining a bunch of semi-lucid, racist megalomaniacs, it's probably just time to log out.

This is a tangent, but if you really want to see population growth, get to the core of the problem and relaunch with 4 or 5 teams. Code in some of the community and don't just leave it up to the "adept guidance" of the forum trolls.

P.S. And get rid of the garbage resist system.

Except people haven't been making quit posts for the last five months because orcs don't have pink skin, they have however, been making quit posts because the EXP was too slow for an emulated PVP server with a prime time pop of ~55-60.

if red99 is dead,, then say goodbye to the last real eq emu pvp server,,.. u may as well stop browsing these forums and start playing,, some of the new games coming out and don't look back

vztz was a shitfest of cheaters,, you won't find a more legit version of emu pvp than p1999 no emu box can even come close,,, i wonder if holo quitting has anything to do with the idea that they couldn't cheat on this box people think just because its an emu pvp that,, it should be easy and instant level 50 in 3 days

but jimmy crickets man,,, if u dont enjoy the server and quit thats fine,,.. but stop trying to rain on the parade of anybody elses fun regardless of your loud trolls r99 is here to stay,, and when kunark is released and other changes are made at the pace the devs deem ok it is after all their server then you fruitloops,, will have characters to come back and play on

what these cheaters want is 200% xp bonus so they can,, level to 50 in 2 days so they can cheat,, and train and do all their low life shit they do so once they are caught and banned,,.. they can start and level another new character to 50 and do that cycle until end of time

You know our educational system has failed when a post like ^ can be made by someone who is now a member of our work force.
