Anyone help me get ready for Velious???

Hey all,

First off Grats to all the BotB winners and participants. What a fun event. It's things like this that made EQ even more fun back in the day once you've explored most places...

Ok to my original point. I hate begging and I hope this is not taken as such, just a shot in the dark kinda...

I have just really started playing finally now that some things have been taken care of however I am really getting worried. One of the main reason's I started playing on here was for Velious and due to my late start I feel like I am going to miss it yet again. On live I missed most of Velious because I was too low at first, then missed some time due to family/health reasons. I can feel Velious not too far out on p99 just looking at posts and comments and some of the requests the staff have made. I really don't know exactly what I am asking for here. I know I want to make sure I am at least 40's so I can get in on some of Velious during the first big wave. Whether that means some help with leveling from someone higher level, some friends to quickly grind out some levels with, some twink gear to quickly get me up in level (even if it's just borrowing or pass it along type of situation)... I am open to any ideas really, I just don't want to miss out this time.

lemme see if my 40 mage is on a seperate account from my red chars, if so u can have him. in case he is on my red accounts then dude so easy to level on blue its rediculous. 1-12 cb, 12-22 unrest, 22-40 mm, solb/lguk the rest of the way. constant groups man just dont ruin your rep. mage to 40 in 4 days played. even farmed fire focus stuff solo (cept toes which some kind person gave to me.) not sure what else to say man just follow the groups and youll be 50 in no time.

Dang man, 40 in 4 days? That seems crazy to me right now lol. I don't have a ton of playing time between work and my wife/baby... Weekends are usually my most productive times but even then its hit or miss... Thanks for your suggestions/help. Hows Red server been?

luckily for you P99 stops at Velious and you will never miss out on it....... and it probably is not getting released any time soon so relax and HF

I just got started too, and I am sad I missed out on Lguk days and breaking into Fear on guild firsts. But it's still fun. I am trying to get up there in levels as well for the release of Velious. Would like to get higher than 20 and some gear, but it will come. I am certainly going to enjoy leveling my character because to me that is the single best part of the game. Going through the hard ships and leveling your character with limited means makes you appreciate him more.

I know that sounds corny but it really is true. I could never sell one of my EQ toons or give them away because I get too attached to them. A lot of time spent leveling and grinding and hunting for items. Far too much to put a silly price tag that isn't nearly enough on it.

I certainly don't think if you guys take your time and don't rush that you will miss out on anything.

The recent increase in new players has brought about some newly formed guilds that have just started to do their first couple of fear raids. I wouldn't worry that you have missed out on break-ins. I'm sure they will still be happening on this server when you have leveled up some.

There are a few things I missed out on in EQ the first time around. Like wearing a Crimson Robe of Alendine. I wanted one of those so badly. Never really got the chance, we did a couple of fear runs but by the time I got high enough in the pecking order we had moved on to bigger and better things. Just hoping I can get there while there is still some interest in doing them.

I am really enjoying this though. Even if I miss out on some things again this experience is bringing back so many memories from so long ago that I never thought I would be able to recapture.
