It depends on the player/gear. A good player playing a ranger will show you that they aren't that bad to play with. The whole snap agro thing is dumb, there is a spell called "root" root and get the right spot you will be the tank no matter what, myself and a shaman duo'd solb and the xp was extremely fast, if I remember correctly when with a 40% penalty I got a bub an hour. This was before kunark also, so my weapons weren't even what they could be now.
