![]() Pretty much sounded to me like begging. There are a ton of people on here that never have raided and never will. And we all at first needed help. But to just ask outright for it in a thread. Comes across as begging the way I see it.
Get in a group and ask questions. Get to EC tunnel and people will probably give you buffs, plat and gear if you DON'T beg. Just ask for some buffs and be happy with whats comes after that. It is a nice game but don't expect a lot of stuff for free. I was in a Unreast group a few days ago and half of the level 16 to 18 peeps were happy as heck to be looting the Ringmail gear in there. Better than they had. And it is just AC stuff. So great gear does not grow on trees here. | ||

![]() Yacoby44: Your skill in begging has leveled up(6). Well, my first and really only character is a warrior, which is rough. But if your still making a warrior and not some wimpy caster i can probably toss you some starter stuff. Just toss Fuegan on your friends list
Also btw, if ya didn't know in the good old world of EQ, begging can get you 3 things. PP/Items, nothing, or death. Just sayin, Ikky guildmasters don't like beggers.

![]() The reality of the forums is that there are many who have fun picking on people. Some times they say things intending to be funny but it can be interpreted as being mean. Your best bet is to get in the game and start playing. Find some people to group with and ask for advice. When I enter a new zone or camp in a group, I always let the person inviting me or the group know that I am not familiar with the camp / zone so that they know what they are getting from me. I have never had this be an issue and I learn the finer points of that camp. The same can be said of classes. If you join a group, let them know you're new to the game or the class and I am sure they'll give you advice (probably they have other characters of the same class and can really be helpful). It's better to learn "under fire" than any kind of formal type of mentoring in this game.
Welcome to the server and remember the most important thing is to have fun! It will be challenging and slow at times but the overall experience should be fun.

![]() I didn't think the post was that bad. But...When I started on the server the first thing I thought about was not that I needed help to get through the first 20 levels. It was, oh cool I get to grind out the first 20 levels just like in classic EQ. But I'm a masochist.

Don't get too discouraged. In general, people in-game are very different from people on the forums. You can usually hang around EC tunnel and get buffs and the occasional hand-me-down or a few plat. There does seem to be a lot of new people starting lately (Reddit?), so I think you'll find groups and make friends easily. P99 raiding, however, is not for the faint of heart. Go big or go.....EQmac?
