The mage epic is very OP during Kunark and Velious. It starts to degrade in relative power during PoP, which should not be an issue here. The quest is pretty tough, but the reward is OMG.

When you get it, be sure to have it duel any dual wielders who are willing. It's some funny shit how fast that DS eats them up.

Especially Monks, many of whom tore themselves to bits on the Epic Pet's outstanding DS.

The Mage's Epic Pet was truly in a league of its own amongst the RoK Epics. Probably right up there with the Monk epic in terms of difficulty and the Cleric epic in terms of usefulness.

It was a viable pet well into the 60+ era.

I imagine some don't even know that they can revert to the older pet models. I myself always associate the "pet grunt" when they attack with the blob with arms, that double-fisted punch forward no matter what weapon(s) they are weilding.

Of course some probably like the new models. Eh, I only see the old so I don't care who uses what [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Ya know, I like the classic pet models myself. I had it set to be classic models, but somehow it changed and I keep forgetting to change it before I log in. Go figure huh, anyway thanks for the input gentlemen and gentlewomen.
