That sense of wonder when you first discovered the internet can be used to help you with video games instead of just looking at porn and proceeed to print out every single spell, strategy guide, and maps for your necromancer, 3 hole punch it, put it in a 3 ring binder and study it front to back in history class.

Funnily my printer had no ink, and as ever printer cartridges were expensive... so I remember sitting down one evening and just hand writing out a brewing combination guide with trivials in the margin - and going to Highkeep upstairs and trying to do as many combos as I could with only buying vendor stuff [You must be logged in to view images. For me it was the wonder of the combine spires in GFAY. What could their capabilities be? Why do I discover other Combine spires during my travels?

My first death by auto-follow in Eastern Karanas while auto-following along that huge cliff! You won't make that mistake twice...

The lore of The Hole and wanting to break in to that damn sealed door. Successfully crouching through it as a halfling, and being disappointed there wasn't a secret zone to the Plane of Underfoot.

Seeing two moons in Plane of Sky for the first time. Luclin and Drinal.

I suppose this is more nostalgia than actual features that P1999 didn't get quite right.
