You missed my point then. I was saying Shitster should probably be changed (but I doubt it's high on any GM's priority). Blahblah should not.

What are the chances you have the balls to post what your toon's name is?

How do you know the naming policies of classic? I don't want to look it up, but yes "offensive terms", "titles instead of names", and "references to controversial subjects" seem like they should be removed classic or not.

However descriptive names are one thing that I don't remembering being enforced. If by that you mean something like "Fearstalker", "Wikicat", or "Fatbody". Then go here:

http://project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7523

Similar names can be found as a "Classic name" to list a few:

Triumph
Soulcat
Bardic
Dangergirl
Celestialsky

So, some of the names you mentioned, by the classic criteria you want to follow, would not be there. But I have gone on long enough, you have your opinion and I have mine =)... in the end the GMs rule hehe.

Wouldn't last on live? LMAO ok.

I knew a guy who played a character named Fuxxalot to level 60. My rogue's name was Shabster Shanksalot. My friend and I had a duo team named John Stockten and Karl Marlone... GMs could give two shits unless it blatantly cussed.

Particular instances of names slipping through the cracks don't contradict anything I've said.

People complaining about name changes are either tattle-tales or just being spiteful dicks.

Don't worry, I'm 34 years old and I've discovered by now that a little bit of integrity is more important than worrying about whether someone thinks I'm a snitch, tattle-tale, etc. Yes, I'll identify and report blatantly offensive names and I don't care what that makes me in your eyes.

You can go by this rough guidelines:

No titles, Name and Lastname should not form words or phrases, Names should not be phrases, brand names, etc. ...
http://project1999.org/forums/showpo...7&postcount=22

Just about every name in Siri's list violates the rule as laid out by Cyrius, who is a Senior Server Guide here. You can use common sense to know that those names are god-awful, or you can apply the rule quoted above to figure it out.
