![]() I remember back in the day that a quick and easy way of getting rid of a mob's pet was to mem blur it AFTER the master was dead. I remember seeing this done in '99 and did it myself in 2000 with my enchanter.
I tried this with my enchanter and have never been able to have the pet simply poof after blurred (either from a mez ending with a successful blur or the mem blur spell). I remember that if a mobs pet was mez'd, I could /con it and see if the blur worked. If it was indifferent, I knew it was successful and it would die/poof once the mez wore off. Otherwise I could cast blur on it and yield the same results. It's not a huge issue but it's convenient when you want to get rid of green pets or if you are LOM / low health and alone. Thanks!

![]() Pets that have lost their master will poof when they are no longer agrod to anything. My monk would just feign off a pet after killing its master and the pet would instantly poof while soloing. A mezzed pet would often disappear when someone broke mez after the master died. This has been the way NPC pets have worked since, um, a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
