I just want to note that I wasn't implying that there was any problem with Bum being both a guild leader and a developer. In fact, I am all for those capable in the player base to take an active role in assisting this project. As far as Guides and GMs having play characters - I trust Nilbog and Rogean to ensure that there are no issues within their GM and Guide ranks.

this is p normal for the internet as a whole and humans in general. we always, if possible, avoid explaining ourselves and accounting for our actions. those who cannot dissemble cannot rule. we cant stop it any more then we can stop eating or crapping. be glad its volunteer staff for a free video game. if i were in thier place i'd have a universal "ban on a whim" rule.
