The flawless diamonds will eventually drop to 5k a piece like they did on live. Casuals will still have to buy them in EC from the non-casuals. Making the non-casuals even richer.

If you think 15k is a "Plat Sink" I got some news for you. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
700 ppl on during peak hours. 700 x 15k? 10.5 mil.

And that's just the chest piece. Some people have several toons they will gear with velious armor. And the server population will increase when velious launches.

Adding any plat sink would be "not classic". So if you had to have one, I think this is it because it doesn't change much. You still get the "classic" armor at the same "classic" price.

It has been said before but just let me buy a guise. I don't care what the price is. If it's a billion plat I will ruin the day of every decaying skeleton holding a staff until I can afford one and then my fortune will be gone.

There are people on here that have that much alone. Still no big deal.

I know its "not classic" but allowing vanity items to be bought via vendor could put quite a dent in the large amounts of plat people have.

And how is this fair to people who plan on selling their guised accounts who arent filthy rich? Taking away one of the few methods poor players have to get decent equipment isn't exactly the answer either. Imagine the majority of active accounts with a guise are already the filthy rich players, but I would think theres a few waiting to come back who have one that can't buy anything they want.

Fact is, there's nothing you can do that doesn't hurt either the casuals or the power gamers. As games/servers get older they simply get to a point where the casuals suffer and everything becomes about the power gamers. It's inevitable.

Valid point, but if/when they ban account selling. It becomes moot.

Other than their account becomes less "special"

I much prefer the idea of a merchant offering illusion masks for 500k. It's not classic but it's a cool feature and I know for a fact that would drain millions out of the economy. I'd get a stone of gnoming for sakuragi for sure.

Have they actually talked about putting an end to the account selling? That may very well end up doing more bad than good. I imagine there's a fair bit of account trading that results in people not getting burned out and bored too quickly. If I could trust people to do it I'd trade accounts all the time as I don't have enough to twink or buy pl
