My first was post-SOL, pre-POP, but I wasn't allowed to get any expansions, so I played Classic, Kunark, and Velious content exclusively for several years.
...Funnily enough I think my interest started waning about the time I started buying expansions.

Ha! My very first death came from my warrior using the beg skill on a random merchant, and then me wondering why everyone in the city suddenly wanted to murder me.
