Lets say I were level 60 and reasonably geared - what are the odds I could sign up for a VP run with the understanding of course that I would not be eligible for any loot. I never got to see VP back in the day, especially not as challenging content, and would be interested in just tagging along.

You guys sell tours?

If you could get your key, there probably wouldn't be any issue at all. Just make friends and ask, and you could tag along for a few raids if its doable. The issue is the key. TMO does not sell tooth mqs, but they do enter the market on occasion.

VP was kind of a let down for me. TMO has been doing it so long its on farm status; the dragons are single pulled to the zone in, and then obliterated in 30 seconds or so by 40+ overgeared toons. Merkk makes it interesting some of the time though.

Really I think we need Velious for more challenging raiding.

That's really quite impressive though. IIRC very few guilds had cleared VP on live - I know on Rallos Zek we didn't even have anyone *in* VP.

I think you missed my point a little. When you have TMO's numbers, gear, coordination, experience, and overall skill killing the dragons in itself is easy. Getting the pixels is nice of course, but I think we all need a certain amount of challenge to keep things interesting. And that's why TMO is against rotations: they need the competition to keep them on their toes. The times when FE was training VP were by far the most fun for me at least; the other ones were just roflstomps.
