For a guy, I think 30 is the last birthday with any real meaning. You're not in your 20s anymore, so spending all your time in bars and clubs becomes pretty lame. After that, people expect you to have your shit together and act like an adult (whatever that means).

The 30s, however, are pretty generally awesome. You can still be in great physical condition and even improving your fitness, but you're no longer so clueless about life and women and all that. You also don't work for $10 an hour anymore.

None of this applies, of course, if you are fat and have brain damage. If that's your situation, you should really think about killing yourself and making life easier for the people around you.
