What's so yucky about 2 people getting an upgrade instead of 1? Why is it so hard to think of your guild mates like family, boost each other up and invest in eachother? Seeing someone get an upgrade from an item recently returned is when you really see how good it makes everyone feel. It may not make people rich platwise, but every little boost in morale and stats helps us all. Aren't most guilds like that?

I get your point of help the guild and the guild will help you, but there is a difference between earning loot through raiding and having someone loan you a personal item.

That being said, you don't sell raid loot in Asgard either unless it's something from a non DKP event...so CoF is a bad example cause u can sell this and no one will care.

If I win a CoF one day, and then I win Tear of Quellis the next, I would expect I could sell the CoF, pass to a friend, or if I wanted I could move to an alt....the last thing I would expect is Pint to petition a GM that I am stealing Asgard loot
Do you really think we petition? People join BDA knowing our policies, when they are awarded the highly prized droppable item we let them know how we handle those items. If someone bitches about it they don't get the item (that never happens). If they leave BDA and keep the items it will piss us off but obv we have zero recourse (that rarely happens)

The process works great for us, a lot more mains have dragon haste, or solid BP/legs because of the policy. It helps the guild get stronger faster. Stratifying resources across one person's characters doesn't help the guild grow.

Realistically the policy is very corner case. The best shit is no drop anyways.

The way its done in Asgard is that if you get an upgrade to a dropable item won via DKP, you should (and this usually happens) give the old item to someone who can use it or to the guild bank.

The difference here is that if somebody leaves Asgard while wearing dropable DKP won loot, it's never, ever, asked to be returned.

This thread is riddled with bad examples, so for some reason we are talking about upgrades while still in guild.

Poor druidz, need more water dragon shields.
I hear taken has an alt forced camped specifically for this but gives the loot to florid out of respect of his awesome dkp.
