^ Hey, don't I know you!
But ya, i was looking up old videos on You Tube to show the wife some of the old raid mobs and someone posted a link to Project 1999. So i did a Google search and my jaw dropped as i read it and proceeded to start clicking every down load link on the page! So far I'm loving it... its like being a kid again!

I tried the VZ/TZ server a while ago and left with the quickness after discovering it was very petulant and very "cliquish". This is to be expected where PVP is found to a certain extent but when you have GMs blatantly twinking friends and favorites it becomes an operation of futility in the name of fun.
A week ago they sent out a mass email saying they had fixed the "problems" but I wasn't buying it. It did renew my interest in EQEmu however and I decided to give this server a shot despite it's carebear nature. Gotta admit I'm having a blast so far. If there was a red server out there with the integrity and population that P99 has it'd be perfect. But I'll take what I can get. There is absolutely nothing like EQ Classic. Ever. Period. Thank you for this.

I was sitting in class and a girl that sits next to me was talking about WoW and I was thinking about how terrible that game is and reminded me how much I miss old school EQ. When I got home I googled "games like everquest 1" and it came up with a free browser based game that I cant remember the name of. I played it for about an hour and it pissed me off because its one of those click to walk to the point that you want to go to so I googled it again. I found a forum that was talking about how much people missed EQ classic and on the second page of the thread there was a link to this website. I downloaded everything and installed it instantly and here I am lol.

Saw a post on an Everquest facebook group that had a link to the article about P99 on tentonhammer. I didn't manage to get it installed that night, but I lost sleep thinking about the possibilities [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I tried the LOTRO trial - it was ok, but then I went back to EQ2 for a free seven days I had gotten, I guess from resetting my account, dunno.
Anyway, after a day or two in EQ2 an OOC "EQ nostalgia" chat started up - some dude named Tekma (I think) told me about this server. Thought I'd check it out [You must be logged in to view images. I started up just as Kunark came out.

Someone made a sneaky reference to it on the official forums six months ago and so i've kept an eye on it from time to time. The time was right and I installed last night. Pure Heaven.
750 players online? 82 in east commonlands and 15 in each Freeport zone? Incredible! THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

I heard about it from Xumosa, old guildy of mine from back in the day! I hope to find some old friends on here. I'm going to try and get everyone to come check it out!
