![]() This explains the awful experience of dying right after dinging 31,36,41 or 46 - you lost 10% of the previous level's total wich was a massive hit, where as dying in the level 30,35,40 or 45 itself was just a smidge.

![]() Yes, I certainly remember this on classic era EQ. I remember the first time I died (of many deaths) after a hell level and almost fell off my chair when I saw what I had lost, and this what before epics and any high level clerics being around to rez. Death in live classic EQ was incredibly harsh. That's what made attaining levels so much sweeter... because you made it through those tough times...
