Plugging benefits the team with less people, it enables them to engage a force they probably cant beat by giving them a way out.
Isn't this called LNS under PnP?

I really don't remember plugging being an issue on RZ or SZ. I think this falls under the category of "classic but not abused in classic", ivandyr's hoop style. People have had 15 years to come up with ways to work around the EQ mechanics we can't blindly stay with classic shit or the game will be 30 people instagibbing raid targets with hoops and other bullshit.

Regardless, R99 is classic in PVE only. There is barely anything in common with the PVP here and what it was like on RZ/SZ aside from the fact you can attack each other. The +/- 4 range at least matches what RZ had but I believe that decision was made because there was item loot...non item loot servers had a larger range. The way resists work change the balance of power class wise quite a bit here too.

way too much crashing going on to ever consider any sort of forced zone coding. would be extremely detrimental to server health :P

Plugging is classic. Also, what barladore said. Plugging helps promote PvP. The less afraid ppl are of PvP the better. This is why item loot always failed as well. It makes the risk not worth taking, and promotes zerging.

Plugging = more, shittier PVP. Not exactly the type of PVP tactics we should encourage.
