Earring of the Solstice was Luclin, right? That was a pretty massive tradeskill push as I recall.

Making twink gear in p99 makes tradeskills useful, but then again, if you have the cash to level one or more, you can probably afford higher end dropped items for that purpose...

Agnarr wasn't our then! And I'm not talking about Agnarr. Just about the General progression of EverQuest servers. Looking forward to Luclin99 in 2020. Probably release it on Kanye's inauguration?

Luclin makes tradeskills useful because of a number of new combines and quests the expansion has to offer. Prior to Luclin, tradeskills are largely useless as mentioned above.
I'd bet on Luclin99 in ... never. Rogean et all have been crystal clear on this for over a decade, and I haven't seen the slightest crack in their defenses.

I do agree that Luclin added a lot to the game though, and tradeskills were one notable area. It is my sincere hope that when the P99 devs start adding custom content to Blue (post-Green) that they include new quests and other content specifically for tradeskillers. I really hope they add their own version of Shawl #8, but that's probably too much to wish for.

I'd forgotten all about that item! Memories ...

Earring of the Solstice is the top reason 250 Tailors/Blacksmiths/Potters/Bakers/Brewers made money. Hell it gave fishing a purpose beyond 1-2 random quests.

What an incredible quest... plus it gave Druids single target Glades!

This. Hardcore Tradeskillers made bank by selling entire 9-item kits.

The problem of course is you need a 29+ Tunare Druid or Cleric and a 29+ Karana Druid or Cleric to imbue Emeralds and Plains Pebbles, plus 220-250~ Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Pottery, Jewelcrafting, Baking and Brewing.

Fletching really didn't receive much love until PoP with Elemental Bows.

Fetching was fun for me on filbus bc I made woke arrows and eventually a true shot for my alt Ranger, blacksmithing fun in ALS bc banded is really fucking good at level 10 and there was a market for it

I suggest making a dwarf war and dumping points jnto Dex and str then give him the best bow you can and then level purely through zerker rage archery

Silver arrows combine 10 at a time.
Having dabbled pretty heavily in most of the trades, silver 150 range arrows have always been my favorite thing to craft. 14 combines for 7 stacks of premium arrows, which works out to about a day worth of plinking stuff a mile off.

The NFP fletching shop closure made this much less fun to do however.

you could also level up your baking and become Goodgrocer, the next gen greengrocer.

He literallly PMs me on Discord about four times a week telling me about the food he is making on p2002 and how it's so great to be there

It's tempting, very tempting. Everyone has a niche, they just have to find it. Actually, F that. Honestly I could never live in EC peddling foods to unappreciative nerds. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
