I don't want this to get too off topic, but if we're wishlisting, a /charcopy to a "challenge server" with instanced Luclin content would be cool.

No? Then why are you asking an entire team of people who have been building a Classic-Velious (and NOT Luclin) server for nearly a decade to suddenly change what they've been doing for all those years just because you want something different.
I get my McChickens with no mayo and extra pickles because I am a person of culture.

That sounds like ass cancer with extra steps.

Pickles are OK as a garnish, but have no business on a sandwich of any kind.

Just my $0.02.

Nothing, that's the point. Right now it's a loot conveyor belt. There should be more pain involved in getting those loots. It shouldn't be so easy mode.
100% this... People saying they don't want Dragons rooted because killing trash is a pain, are just looking for easy loot they don't actually have to earn.

Logging in to kill just a named mob is not raiding, its farming. There IS a difference.

Ugh I wrote a long response to this then deleted it now I fell I have to respond again.

If it's so easy to kill dragons the way they currently are killed, why are there only two guilds that consistently contest Raid Targets in ToV? (Outside of trips).

MOST of the best playmakers/pullers/leaders/coth racers are in one of two guilds. Any second tier guild (i'm not shitting on anyone here btw, I love lots of people in Paradigm Shift ETC) can produce a force to kill the dragons. You need clerics, 2-3 Raid geared tanks, DPS. Slowers. That's the easy part. The hard part is getting the dragon to entrance.

And you're very wrong about the loot. A LOT of people, especially the playmakers, don't raid on p99 for the loot. I joined Aftermath because I wanted raid loot, that's the truth. I didn't expect to like raiding as much as I did. I figured that I would get some shit, and take off. But it's a lot of fun! I don't even give a shit about loot anymore. I raid because it's fun, and I love my guild members.

If lower tiered guilds weren't scared to step foot in ToV due to the top 2 raid guilds rule lawyering them into oblivion, there would be a lot more competition.

You say the hard part is getting the dragons to the entrance, the whole point of my post is that they shouldn't even have to bring them to the entrance, they should actually raid...

Also, you're on crack if you think those guilds are not raiding to get loot. That is about the most ridiculous shit i've ever heard.

I agree with your sentiment. I have removed myself from both top tier raiding guilds due to boredom and being overall unimpressed by the raid scene, nothing at all appealing to me about sitting around waiting on pops or bat phones.

Spend the time working/learning/gearing a character up to 60 only to bumble fudge around is unacceptable. I was briefly in both top tier guilds and lost interest, ended up ghosting or taking a break.

My 60 bard is camped out in KC of all places now because at least its something to do besides camp idols, do Sir Lucan (wait in line) or stand around double pumping mana for clerics, waste of an epic bard. If that is what floats your boat, fine, enjoy that.

I did like being with a big group of people doing something, it was exciting to take part in. I liked the guys cracking jokes in Discord/TS, people playing music on that DJ website.

The people pulling the most weight in AM, in my opinion, do it because they have fun doing it 1st and loot 2nd. That's my opinion, and i'm not on drugs.

Rule lawyered into oblivion? That's ridiculous. Do the guild leaders expect other guilds to adhere to the same rules that we have to? Yes. Is that a problem? But it's not like we go out of our way to stick it to lower guilds. If you read our forums and discord, you would know that almost everyone very much wants healthy competition. When Awakened was suspended/dying earlier this year, raiding was boring as fuck.

people playing music on that DJ website.
Our guild has a Discord chatbot that does the same thing, and plays music chosen by us in our main voice chat (to choose the music we go to a separate chat room and run do "!play Journey Don't Stop Believing", or whatever.

A lot of people turn the bot's volume off, but the rest of us have a lot of fun DJing and listening to each other's songs.

And i'm sure lower tier guilds will be A LOTTTT less afraid to step foot in NToV when the entire area has more trains then Grand Central Station while 140 experienced, raid geared people try to make it to a rooted dragon ……….
