Anyone member this game ? I find it cool how similar the dialogue box is to EQ's. I think you got a free copy of this with some version of EQ.

Tanarus, when I asked the P99 board if anyone knew the name of the Original Everquest Game Engine the only person here who spoke up (ever) was fenin, he mentioned that Tanarus was Smedleys first online game.

The similarities could be because the EQ team used some part of the Tanarus engine as the basis for EQ, if you notice the movement in first person is similar.

I still have not heard, on an original EQ enthusiast board, if EQ had a game engine with any specific name.

I really like this era Windows. My favorite game ever made and I don't even know the engine name (not that i cared back in the day. Old man interest shit now). Mysterious as ever, never change EQ, never change. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
