There has been some good discussion about post-Velious custom content here:

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11879

How players skip Luclin and gear for PoP straight from Velious is still up for debate, but honestly the T1-3 zones could probably be cleared with end-game ST/ToV gear, which would work out just fine for skipping Luclin.

There are only 2 votes that count, and those are nilbog's and Rogean's - and they have already voted. Most of us play here because they agree with those votes.

Some of us are looking forward to adding some custom content after velious, yet keeping in line with the feel of classic everquest.

I don't think AA's will ever be introduced.. I've ripped out so much of it from the code already lol.

Leaving out AAs seems like a good idea anyway, since it encourages alts and thus new people to the server have folks to play with.

AA's are like an elevator ride to Hell that never ends, IMHO.

IMO, pity about AAs. If anything was added past Velious that would be the first thing I would personally want.

In general, introducting selected content past Velious would be ok for me if it was once a part of the early-mid EQ experience.

Introducing new content that had never before existed in EQ is interesting - an exciting idea actually - but I'm not sure I'd want to see it on the classic server. Maybe if the funds could be found and the population supported it, another server could be created to hold classic + custom content. It would be kinda cool also if you could only "port to that server" if you were at level cap in the original one.

im looking forward to the custom content added after velious but you should hire a lore writer for it as that was a big part of EQ

maybe continue where velious left off with custom content involving the sleeper with lots of quests

also dont add anymore new zones from 1 to 50 you dont want to spread the lower level population anymore than it is after velious
luclin was when most old world zone started to become unpopulated

I know this is a bit off topic to this thread, but why does everyone have a problem with Vah Shir? The main thing I've heard is that cat people is stupid and unbelievable. How are lizard people any less stupid and any more believable? Don't get me wrong, Iksars are the greatest race on EQ, but still.

Anyway, I'm fairly sure they're only going to Velious. I wouldn't have a problem if they chose to go to like PoP or something, but remove things like the Nexus, PoK, and The Bazaar. I really liked places like BoT.

The problem everyone has with Vah Shir is that they were on the moon. They're whole story revolved around being blown off Odus by the Erudite faction wars, yet Kerrans (who are Vah Shir with the old polygons) were alive and well a zone away from Erudin. There was little reason to put the Vah Shir on the moon when the story for them was already sitting in Erud's Crossing.

Per Rogean, It's sad to hear AAs may be dropped in custom content. A few classes, like Wizards and Rangers, really needed AAs (excluding mana burn) to truly reach their classic potential. For instance EQ+AM3 made the ranger the class it should have been. I like guineapig's idea of capping AAs so that you have to specialize and can't just max them out. I look forward to any custom content this server does see, but only after an awesome Classic experience =).
