I will go oom trying to nuke down a naked blue con melee as a level 38 shaman before they die with the current pvp damage system. Alternatively, melees have very little chance to kill me as well.

Spells are a lot different than vztz. Nukes always hit for full damage on here. However, damage is much less than vztz on an overall basis. For instance, the level 19 shaman dot does 6 dmg per tick in pvp (multiple by 2/3 for pvp). Dots become very viable at the high levels, but you aren't dropping anyone before they zone or gate with dots alone at low levels.

Null I just did this math pal

With a Monk, magic resist:

Casual: 53 (jc bracers + neck, splitpaw mask)
High End: 124 (jacinth rings, tranix crown, shiverback gloves, rakusha cloak, bd earrings)

I'm pretty sure that's actually where they max out - 125'ish. And that's a very difficult 125 to obtain, where you are sacrificing hps / other resists.

Can anyone here who actually plays a 35+ Monk, Rogue, or Warrior comment?

The way I see it is: if I can be reliably snared or rooted as a monk wearing resist gear, then no way in hell am I playing one here. That isn't classic (tm), and melee already had a tough time in classic. I'd go SK if anything.
