launched, asked me about a folder path (that wasn't mentioned in the setup at all) So i put the folder path " C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest " and the Exe path auto assigned to "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe "

then launched, ask me if i wanted to patch something Host, said no, got that error. next time i patched it. same error.

My res is 1920x1200. could that have anything to do with it?

At any point did you change eqhost.txt?

You're supposed to. I'm guessing you missed some steps. Did you delete the the .iso files used to install Titanium?

Here's what I'm going to have you do. Uninstall Titanium, reinstall it from scratch. Then follow these instructions:

1. During install pick a folder that is easy to remember, I use C:\EQTitanium\

2. Let the installer do it's shit

3. Set up your EQEmu account and LS info (you said you already did this, skip to step 4)

4. go into your EQ folder, find "eqhost.txt". Open it and change the contents to:

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

DO NOT set the port (the last 4 numbers) to 5999. The 5999 port is for Seeds of Destruction, Underfoot, and Veil of Alaris/Live clients only. None of those 3 are supported by Project 1999.

5. Save eqhost.txt and close it. Right click it, click "Properties" and check the box at the bottom that says "Read Only". Click "Apply" and close the properties window.

6. Download the Launcher, patch EQ Titanium, CLOSE the launcher. Don't enter game yet.

7. Go back into your EQ directory and remove the following files:

nektulos.eqg
nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
nektulos.mp3
nektulos.zon
lavastorm.eqg
lavastorm.emt
lavastorm_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
lavastorm.mp3
arena.eqg
arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
arena.zon

The patcher will remove some of them, some of them will still be in your EQ folder. Make absolutely 100% sure you delete the right ones. .eqg NOT .s3d for example.

8. Find eqgame.exe, right click it, select "Send To" then "Desktop (Create Shortcut)". It will send the short cut to Desktop.

9. Right click the new shortcut, add 'patchme' without quotes to the end of the "Target" box. It should look something like:

C:\EQTitanium\eqgame.exe patchme

Click "Apply" and close properties.

10. Apply any optional custom changes as you see fit, such as Velious UI, Duxa UI, Luclin models, WinEQ, EQLite, etc etc. Follow instructions that accompany these "optional patches" making sure not to skip steps.

11. Run EQ through that Desktop shortcut. At Login input your EQEmu LS information, at server select click Project 1999 and click "Play Everquest"

Should be good to go. If you encounter any more errors go back into your EQ folder, find the Logs folder inside, then find the dbg.txt file and copy/paste the contents of that file into a PM to me or this post. I'll see what I can do.

try to run eq exe from the directort you installed it. if you edited the shortcut that pops on your desktop it wont work. at least thats what the voices tell me.
